Challenges in Implementation and Sustainability of Health Care Using ICT

The aim of this session was to gather health experts from around the globe and to highlight Bangladesh and Africa’s journey and success in digital health solutions, so that agencies from both regions can make the right decision to invest in implementation and scaling up digital tool for health solutions. Also, to make use of digital tools, knowledge and research within and outside the network to enable individual member organisations to make their own projects and organisations more efficient and effective–adhering to the Digital Principles for development and contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Challenges in Innovation and Design of Health Care Using ICT

mPower Social in collaboration with SPIDER of Stockholm University, organized a series of webinars on knowledge and experience sharing on digital health between Bangladesh and African countries. The purpose of the session was to highlight the achievements of digital health in Bangladesh and African Countries so that innovators from African nations can learn from our experience in designing and implementing digital health solutions at scale. Heath experts from both Bangladesh and Africa participated in the webinar session. Professor Be-Nazir Ahmed, Former Director of Disease Control, Directorial General of Health Services (DGHS); Dr. Farzana Taher Munmun, Deputy Program Manager, Community Based Health Care, Directorate General of Health Services; Dr. Rezaur Rahman Khan, Deputy Programme Manage, Expanded Program on Immunization & Dr. Shariful Haque Siddique, Director, Support and Coordination Centre shared their challenges faced in healthcare digitization over the years from field level to implementation.

Challenges in Designing and Implementing eLearning Solutions for Health

In this series of webinar sessions our third and final webinar was on “Challenges in Designing and Implementing eLearning Solutions for Health”. Our focus was to highlight the achievements in incorporating e-learning with health care in Bangladesh and African Countries so that innovators from both nations can learn from each others experience in designing and implementing eLearning solutions for health care. Dr. Bruce Dahlman, Advisor, Ministry of Health, UK & Director, Digital African Health Library will join as the Keynote Speaker. The session was be chaired by Dr. AM Zakir Hussain, CEO, Social Sector Management Foundation. Also speakers from different National and International NGOs joined as well to share their insights with us.
